It is the 4th and final North Staffs Cross Country fixture of the 2009 Season on Saturday (12/12/09) at Westwood High School, Leek (directions on the website). If you are interested in running please contact John Strange on club night or leave a message on the Club Forum.

21/11/09 Club Xmas Run
There will be a Harriers Xmas Run on Sunday 3rd Jan 2010. It will start from the Black Swan Inn, Jackfield at 11.30am and all standards are welcome. We are anticipating a run of about a hour - it may be muddy - and the Black Swan will be open for lunch on our return. If you are interested please let Jeff Wright know so we can give the pub some idea of numbers
21/11/09 Xmas Running at Madeley Court/ Horsehay
The last Club Night of 2009 from Madeley Court Centre will be on Tuesday 22nd December. The Centre will be closed on Tuesday 29th December and our next session there will be Tuesday 5th January 2010. Horsehay updates will be provided ASAP.

Don't forget the next Cross Country Races are on 5th December at Leamington (Men) and Birchfield (Ladies). John Strange is hoping to get as many runners out as possible. Please contact John or leave a message on the Club Forum if you are interested.

The draw has been made for the Club's London Marathon Places for 2010; The luck recipients are Andrew Dippie, Roger Bilsby and Mandy Wall. First reserve is Steve Fairs. Congratulations to all concerned!!

A reminder that the NEXT cross country fixture is the "big one" at Senneleys Park (Men - Birmingham League, Ladies - Midland Ladies League).
This is on Saturday 24th October. If you are interested in competing, John Strange is collecting names on Club Nights.

Birmingham League: 24/10 Senneleys Park - 5/12 Leamington - 16/1/10 Nuneaton - 13/2/10 West Bromwich
North Staffs League Fixtures are Men & Ladies; Senneleys Park is also Men & Ladies. Birmingham League are men only - and Midland Ladies League fixures are TBA. If you wish to compete this year, please can you let John Strange know as runners need to be pre-registered.

The next Club Handicap will be on Tuesday, 25th August - and the final race of the season will be Tuesday, 8th September. Both races will be run on a new course. Meet up at Madeley at 7pm.Results so far can be found on the Club Events Pages.

Annual General Meeting - The Club AGM is Tuesday, 15th September at 8.30pm (following training night) . The venue is the Dawley Royal British Legion (click for map - SatNav postcode is TF4 2NW) .
Harriers 25th Anniversary Ball - 11th September 2009, Park House Hotel, Shifnal. Tickets are £20 and include a 3-course meal, disco and live band. They are available from Alison Larwood.
Beginners? Beginners sessions are still being held at Stirchley Recreation Centre on Monday at 7pm. Running will be supervised by club representatives so no worries about getting left out on the road. Contact our enquiries email address if you need any further information.
The Tour of Telford

Advance Notice - Birmingham (Men's) League XC 2009/10 The club attended the AGM of the League and will compete next year in Division 3. Fixtures are at Senneleys Park (October); Leamington (November); Nuneation (January); West Bromwich (February). Check out the Cross Country Pages nearer the time for travel arrangements etc.
