Another weekend packed full of exciting racing was had as the Telford Harriers took to the start lines of 5k, 10k relays and 24hour races last weekend.
Midland Area Combined Autumn Road Relays
A firm favourite in the Harriers race calendar is the Autumn relays held at Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield.
Harriers sent a mens team and two ladies teams to compete this year. The men ran 6 stages with each runner completing approx 3.5 miles while the ladies ran 4 stages and completing approx 2.5miles each.
Both teams put in some great running on what was a very hot day for a September, with official results being posted as follows:

Equinox 24 hour endurance race
Equinox24 is a 24 hour mixed terrain race around a 10k loop against the clock. There is also a daytime 10k race and a night 10k race. The event is open to all abilities: whether entering to run solo or in a team of 2-8, whether you aim to win or just to take part, this race will be exhilarating, testing and rewarding with a great atmosphere.
Although Harriers didn't enter a full team, we had Michael Webb and Mandy Williams representing the green and gold and running in a mixed team of 5 runners. The Equinox24 is physically challenging and a mentally tough race and our runners did amazingly well completing their laps as follows:

Stafford 10K Road Race
The 2019 Stafford 10K starts in Stafford town centre with the route taking runners past Stafford Leisure Centre, before making its way towards Beaconside, then taking in sections of the Isabel Trail before returning to the finish in a packed Market Square.
Another firm fave in the local running scene and always ha a good attendance, with this year being no exception with over 1900 runners completing the race.
We had a small number of runners taking part this year with tomes being set as follows:

660th: Danny Jones - 53:15
1768th: Faye Shieber - 1:14:35

Brewood 10K (The Woggle)
The Brewood 10k course is undulating in nature, running on public roads, through the beautiful countryside around the village of Brewood in South Staffordshire.
The race begins with a massed-start over a short closed-road section. All junctions are marshalled, in accordance with UK Athletics licensing requirements, and there is a lead-out motorbike, a following support vehicle and a water station at half way.
The event finishes in the market square in the village of Brewood, South Staffordshire where runners can indulge in the races famous cake stands!!
