Despite February being a short month, its packed full of racing for our green and gold runners. And the weekend was no exception with several races attended over the weekend.
Rugeley 10 Mile Road Race
The Rugeley 10 mile race is organised by the Rugeley Runners running club.
The race starts and finishes at Redbrook Hayes School Brereton Rugeley and continues out of Rugeley on quiet but challenging and undulating lanes circling the beautiful villages of Longdon and Upper Longdon.
Runners are then taken back through the AONB of Cannock Chase with an exhilarating run down into Brereton and to the finish line.

Village Bakery Wrexham Half Marathon
With 25 years of loyal support of the Village Bakery the Wrexham Half Marathon was again a huge success.
This is a fast, flat and chip-timed half marathon starting on Dunster Road and finishing at 'The Club House' Oak Road on Wrexham Industrial Estate.
This classic race is popular with some of the fastest runners in the region as well as those tackling the distance for the first time.
It is always well marshalled with with plenty of support and drink stations to help runners keep fuelled and hydrated over its 13.1 mile length.
We had a number of runners compete at this event as follows:
519th: Andrew Dippie 1:37.53 Half Marathon PB
1458th: Phil Shieber 1:59.59 Half Marathon PB
