In a relatively quiet weekend it was cross country that dominated the weekends running for the Telford Harriers at the Aldersley Relays in Wolverhampton.
Another fantastic weekend was had at the Midland Cross Country Relays held at Aldersley Stadium in Wolverhampton.
In very good conditions, Harriers fielded 3 mens teams and 5 ladies teams into this years relay event. Ladies and mens distance were both 3.5miles around an off-road track offering a testing run for all competitors.
Running in teams of 3 for women and 4 for men, Harriers put in some great team and individual results. Dean Aston topped the Harriers list coming home in 18th in his stage with the mens A team coming home in a respectable 28th position.
The mens B team had a unique timing experience with 3 out of 4 runers coming home within 2 seconds of each other on their watches. However the official timing showing all 3 had finished their legs at exactly the same time of 28:18!!
Our ladies A team had a good showing with Christina O'Brien being first lady home in 28:33.
